XGN118-12 environmentally friendly gas insulated ring main unit (hereinafter referred to as gas insulated RMU) is an environmentally friendly product independently developed by our company.

Applicable to the rated voltage 12kV, three-phase AC 50Hz power system, it can accept and distribute network power, and implement measurement, monitoring, communication, control and protection for the normal operation of the system.

The products meet the requirements of GB3906, DL/T404 and IEC62271 standards, and are widely used in various fields of national economy such as power transmission substation, urban power supply network, large industrial and mining enterprises, petrochemical industry, metallurgy, railway electrification and so on.

The gas insulated RMU does not use SF6 gas at all, clean and dry compressed air is used as the phase to phase and phase to earth insulation medium of the equipment, and the high-voltage conductive parts are sealed in the gas compartment filled with the insulating medium, which is green and environmentally friendly; Vacuum technology is adopted for circuit breaker and load switch, with high electrical life, which can be used in frequent operation. The compact structure, small size and less occupied area not only reduce the total construction cost, greatly save the limited urban land, but also help to reduce the impact on the environment.

With intelligent control and protection unit, it has powerful control, protection and measurement functions, which fully meet the requirements of distribution network automation. The product has reliable mechanical and electrical interlocking to prevent misoperation.

The plug-in solid insulated busbar is grounded between the panels, which is convenient to install and flexible to expand. The stainless steel tank is laser-tight welded, and the annual air leakage rate is ≤0.1%.

Environment friendly

The gas insulated RMU adopts clean dry compressed air as insulation medium, which has no effect on the environment and is a green environment friendly product.

Compact structure

Due to the use of environmentally friendly gas insulation, the switchgear is compact in structure and can save a considerable amount of urban land. Compared with AIS products, gas insulated RMU is smaller in size and occupy less floor space.

Flexible structure

The structure of the gas insulated RMU is very flexible, can adapt to different primary schemes, and is a plug-and-play switching device. The vacuum circuit breaker and the vacuum load switch are adopted, and the electric service life is high, and the vacuum circuit breaker and the vacuum load switch can be used for frequent operations.

Safe and reliable

  All high voltage components including cable terminations, current transformers and voltage transformers are enclosed by a grounded metal enclosure for safe and touchable operation. The protection grade of all high-voltage components sealed in the stainless steel tank in the primary circuit is IP67, and the protection of the equipment enclosure is IP4X. The stainless steel gas tank body of the product is processed by laser cutting welding equipment imported from Germany, and the SEILER leak detection equipment imported from Germany is used for quantitative detection of air leakage rate, which makes the product safe and reliable.

Maintenance-free

The main circuit high-voltage components of the gas-insulated RMU are sealed inside the stainless steel tank and it is a maintenance-free product. The installation, operation, expansion and replacement of the switchgear do not involve gas operation.

 Wide environmental adaptability

The gas insulated RMU uses clean and dry air as the insulating medium, which can be used in low temperature environment, without liquefaction risk and has wide environmental adaptability.

Product Structure

The circuit breaker (load switch), busbar and three-position switch of the gas insulated ring network cabinet are in the same gas compartment, which is made of non-magnetic stainless steel plate cut and welded by laser, and the non-welded sealing joint surface adopts O-ring seal.

The high-voltage component adopts a compound design, and the disconnect switch and the earthing switch are combined into a three-position switch, and a movable contact is shared, and is arranged on the bus side.

The circuit breaker and the three-position switch operation mechanism are located in the middle of the product, and the mechanism has both manual and electric operation functions.

The gas compartment is equipped with an outer cone cable connecting bushing, multiple cables can be plugged in parallel, lightning arrester can also be connected, and the ring iron core current transformer is set on the cable and fixed with the switchgear frame.

The product is of three-phase common box type, modular design, composed of gas compartment (circuit breaker or load switch, three-position switch and busbar unit), LV compartment (instrument room, operating mechanism room), cable compartment, etc.

When the pressure inside the gas compartment exceeds a certain limit, the pressure relief device will automatically open and release the gas to ensure the safety of the operator and the product.

The branch busbar is uniquely designed to effectively improve the electric field distribution and has high mechanical strength and short-circuit current withstand capability.
